Varsity Soccer Field

Home to the men’s and women’s soccer program, the varsity soccer field was built in 1999. A regulation soccer field with a natural grass pitch is complimented by a fully operational scoreboard, a small viewing press box perfect for viewing and videotaping the games, and covered dugouts for players and coaches. The field also features three sets of nine-row removable bleachers and plenty of sideline space for a comfortable viewing experience.

Varsity Softball Field

Home to the women’s softball program, the varsity softball field was built in 1992 under the guidance of former coach Mike Henderson. The field is one of the largest softball parks in the MCC and sees few balls fly out of it off bats from either team. The infield is a full-dirt diamond and has a natural grass outfield. It contains a pair of fully enclosed dugouts and has space for as many spectators as want to enjoy a day of softball.

Varsity Baseball Field

Home to the eight-time MCC Champion Knight baseball program, the varsity baseball field was built in 1980. The field, formerly Kaufman Field, is a natural grass surface featuring an all-dirt infield. The fully functional press box with scoreboard and public address functions also features a small two-tier suite for entertaining and a full locker room for the team. The field also features lights for evening games and wooden bleachers for a traditional ballpark experience.

Physical Education Center

The home to Knight men’s and women’s basketball was built in 1983 and features a recently finished expansion in 2007. The PE Center features the athletic administration offices and has a full gymnasium with retractable bleachers on both sides for optimal viewing and a new 24-foot score table with electronic signage. The new foyer features the affiliations of Marian College and the tradition of Marian College and its Franciscan tradition.

Athletic Training Facilities

Marian College’s athletic training facilities recently underwent a major renovation that saw the new training room dwarf the prior facility. The new facility is four times the size of the old facility and houses two full-time trainers and one part-time. The new facility is equipped with new taping and treatment tables as well as a fitness machine and a pair of whirlpool tubs. The upgrades to the training facilities have lightened the load for the athletic training staff.

Marian College Cycling Center

The home to the nine-time NCCA national track cycling champion cycling program was built in 2007. The MCCC houses the first state-of-the-art training facility in the Midwest. It contains 12 spin bikes for classes and training. It also boasts Computrainers and a projection screen for virtual rides through the Alps and Pyrennes. The MCCC also features a mechanical area for bicycle adjustments and a training area to learn the ins and outs of bicycle maintenance.

Marian College Multi-Purpose Athletic Facility

The future home of Knight football, soccer, and track is expected to be complete for the 2009 football season. It will feature an eight-lane polyurethane track and an artificial pitch from ProGrass. Phase II of the construction plan incorporates the construction of storage space, concession stands, spectator stands, and a fully functional press box with scoreboard and public address capabilities.
