Thank you for your interest in the Marian College Dance Team. We are a hip-hop and pom squad that performs at home football and basketball games. Above all, we have fun and support the Knights!
Our History
The dance team was founded in 1999. Since that time, we have come a long way. Some of our recent accomplishments include:
- Performed at Conseco Fieldhouse for the Indiana Pacers, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
- Received a bid to Nationals at NDA summer dance camp, August 2006.
- Received first place in team performance, NDA summer dance camp August 2006.
- Received First Place and Most Improved recognitions at two UDA Dance Camps as well as individual team member’s performance awards 2003-2004 and 2004-2005.
- Received first place in hip hop at UDA Windy City Classic Dance Competition, 2003 .

Coach Biography
Karen Witte is a Class of 2000 Marian College graduate entering her 6th year as the coach of the Marian College Dance team. She brings 23 years of dance experience to the dance team. In 1999, Karen co-founded and served as Co-Captain of the Marian College Dance Team.
Karen has choreographed for several Indianapolis-area organizations and since 2004 has worked as an instructor at Sho’time Dance Company of Carmel. She has studied at Kay Hadley Dance Studio, Jordan College of Arts at Butler University and participated in the “West Coast Weekend” at Millennium Dance Complex of Los Angeles. In addition, she is a member of En2Raj, a local hip-hop performance group and is a professional dancer with Encore Entertainment serving as an instructor and performer and dancer with Jane Bond & the Pink Martinis.
